4th of July party at Sigonella. Upholding tradition, CDR White takes his turn over the dunker. For a small donation, those desiring to see the brass get wet could toss a ball, and if good, or lucky, hit the target rigged to drop the officer into a tank of water.

CT39s 10 and 11 await crew and passengers at the NAF Capodichinno (Naples) quarterdeck.

This photo appears to be a group of squadron personnel just back from a "booze run". Included in the photo are: (l-r) Unident(partial face), Sigonella Post Master(Coors shirt), Lea 'Lee' Johnson (blonde in tank top), Amy Denardo(darker blonde in tube top), Dave Bachmann(sun glasses), LT Bush, LT Riebly. Help in identifying others in photo would be appreciated.

C1A crewman, AD1 John Tindal, onboard squadron aircraft. It is likely he removed headset for photo, given the high noise level in the back of the C1A.

Guest C-2 Loadmaster from VRC-50. AMH2 J.D.Williams, was one of three "guest crewmen" who spent three months TAD with VR-24 in a swap to deal with shortages of qualified C-2 and C-130 in the two squadrons. AD1 Dave Berry and AD2 Stan Denkinger are thought to have been the other two sent to vR-24 for the swap.

(US Navy photo bachman collection)

VR-24 command photo. Occasion unknown, but photo was thought to be taken in 1982, probably following personnel inspection.
