Brochures like the one pictured on this page were issued to all VR-24 personnel assigned to the squadron in the late 1940s through early 1950s. Although written in French, the brochures contained useful information on the geography and culture of Morocco as well as points of interest to tourists, which most American servicemen and women were, and still are. The Map of Morrocco at the bottom of this page was the center fold of the brochure.
Most of the brochures were discarded during or after members' tours in the squadron. Fortunately, Joe Babbis hung on to his and made this one available for use on our website.
Anyone who has photos, stories, and material they wish to share is encouraged to send them to Dick Prather, Webmaster/Editor of the VR-24 website.
